DIF rules

Contact us for ConnectingEnglish to assist you in your application.

You can receive DIF training if :

  • You have had a permanent contract for at least 1 year (full-time or part-time)
  • You have a fixed term contract and you have worked at least 4 months (consecutively or not), full or part time over the last 12 months

How many hours can you claim?

  • Holder of a permanent full-time contract: 20 hours per year over a 6 year period, maximum of 120h.
  • Holder of a permanent part-time or a fixed-term contract: amount calculated in proportion to the time worked.

How do you make your DIF training request?

ConnectingEnglish will help you in the process of applying for DIF training

  • A written request stating the necessary information for the employer to include you (DIF training application letter example) link to letter example.
  • The employer has one month to reply: no response indicates acceptance.
  • Your request for training can be refused for 2 consecutive years.
  • After two years, you can send a request to the joint organization linked to your company which will notify you of its decision of acceptance or refusal of admission to training.
